OVERVIEW
Internet-based services like Live TV, Video On Demand (VOD) and Interactive TV (iTV). These services are delivered across an access agnostic, packet-switched network that employs the IP protocol to transport the audio, video and control signals.
THE PROCESS
Since this was a freelancing project, all the team was located remotely across the Continent. The design was to be embedded in a set top box that was located somewhere in US. I had to create HTML and CSS UI and send the simulator to the person who had set to box to test on the TV.

CHALLENGES
One of the biggest challenges was the set top box didn't support the latest JS script nor the CSS. So I had to hand-code the graphic using simple HTML and inline css and javascript calls within the page.

Another challenge was the resolution on the Tube TV when LCD TVs were not available for implementation.

I took up the challenging work of designing for both PAL and NTSC on the Amino Set Top Box with Fresco browsers and Opra browser.

Every day, I used to send the graphic file to the person who had the set-top box setup at his end to test and send me the screenshot by camera and send to me for correction.

DESIGN VALIDATION
To validate the design before it goes to sign off and development. I used to validate the artifacts with the Product Owner and Stakeholders

Analyze A-B testing.
Plan solutions for tactical or strategic releases according to technology or time constraint.

HANDOFF
This was a very exciting project for me as there was no competition in the market that was offering a iPTV in North America. I delivered the entire artifacts and HTML code base UI interface in 3 months.

I also created Business model diagrams for the Product owners to present it to the Investors.
